Meet the Riders - Louis Charnaud

February 17, 2020

Whitedot rider, Louis Charnaud
Where am I based in the Winter?
Treble Cone, New Zealand
How long have I been a Whitedot rider?
3 Years
Professional or not?
Not a professional, but I compete on the FWQ stops. I also Coach the Freeride Team at Treble Cone in NZ.
Which skis do I use?
Altum114
Altum104
Preacher
Why did you choose that model?
Altum114: By far the most fun I've had on a pair of skis to date.
these rip anything from crud to pow. The 2mm of camber really allows you to hook up on edge and dig in and carve the living daylights out of anything.
When they go into the off-piste they float like a butterfly and charge through the chop. They are super playful and land cliffs up to 6meters comfortably.
This ski is a combination of the director and preacher in one. would strongly recommend it for anyone who wants an all-mountain charger.
One thing you love about the ski?
Versatility
Favourite place to ski
Treble Cone, NZ

Secret location
The Mototapu Chutes NZ (Google it)
They look burly and big and that's because they are. If you ever decide to venture into them make sure you take someone who knows the way.
Proudest moment on skis
Competing in the NZ Open as my first Freeride comp and stomping my run.
